ACA, VA Sandards Course October 14, 2014

This training is intended for directors, staff, and board members of camps being accredited by the American Camp Association. ACA requires that at least one person from the camp or center being visited who will be involved in the accreditation visit attend standards training in the year prior to the visit. This course also serves as a pre-requisite for Associate Visitor Training.
ACA, VA Visitor Update Course October 14, 2014
New Standards introduced in 2012 and have been revised; revisions are effective for the 2015 accreditation visits. It is important for you to attend a Visitor Update Course to become up to date on the changes in the standards before you begin conducting Camp Self-Assessments and on site visits. All current visitors who wish to visit camps are required to complete the Visitor Update Course prior to 2015 visits. Bring your APG and updates you have received.

This two day course will train you to become an ACA Associate Visitor. ACA membership required and you must attend the Standards Course that is offered the morning of October 21st.
ACA, UN Standards Course 10/22/14
The Standards Course prepares camp directors for their accreditation visit and serves as an introduction to the standards program for people interested in becoming standards visitors. The course describes the purpose and value of standards and accreditation, and gives an explanation of how the process works and what resources and materials are available. This course is required for camps planning to go through the accreditation process for the first time in 2015. A 2012 Accreditation Process Guide is needed for this course. Lunch will be provided. There is no cost to attend, however participants do need to register.
ACA, NL Standardss Course 11.11.14
The purpose of the ACA Standards Course is to prepare camp directors and administrators for their accreditation visits and to serve as an introduction to the standards program for persons interested in becoming accreditation visitors. The person completing the ACA Standards Course is expected to actively assist the camp in preparation for the accreditation visit and fully participate in the on-site visit. ACA membership is not a prerequisite for this course.

This course is for those wishing to become visitors in the ACA Accreditation Program. Completion of a Standards Course and ACA membership are a prerequisite. All attendees are required to attend the full course. Participant cost covers meals and snacks All attendees will receive a copy of the new Accreditation Process Guide.

This course is appropriate for camp directors/administrators/owners "experienced" in the ACA accreditation process – have completed the 2012 Standards Course and assisted a camp through an accreditation visit. Those attending will have been through the accreditation process, either as a director or visitor. Please bring your APG.

ACA, Great Rivers Standards Course November 19, 2014
ACA's Standards course serves as an introduction to ACA's Standards Program and helps participants prepare for accreditation visits. The course describes the purpose and value of standards and accreditation, and gives an explanation of how the process works and what resources and materials are available. The full standards course is designed for the individual who is NEW to the accreditation process and is required of anyone going through accreditation for the first time. The course offers specific discussion about the requirements of the standards, including: application of the core and specialized activity standards, mandatory standards, and written documentation requirements. There is NO COST to attend this course, however participants must register ahead of time to attend. One Accreditation Program Guide will be given to each camp. BRING A SACK LUNCH.
